EVA solid PU coated fender is a fender using light and elastic foam as a bumping media . EVA foam is featured with environment protection , high elasticity , high adhesion . Outside coated with PU which is anti-seeping and anti-aging . The material improves the fender’s design life and economic value . EVA foam fender has good softness and high resistance of impact , breaking and low temperature . It’s a better bumper than pneumatic rubber fender . It consists of an outer Polyurethane protective layer , a reinforced rubber nylon cord fabric , as well as an internal space that is filled with foam as a medium to absorb collision . Foam fenders outer layer has an extremely low frictional resistance and is highly resistant to wear due to its strength . Impact force is efficiently absorbed by the foam fender , reducing the resultant force acted upon the wharf/vessel at the point of contact.

Application wise , EVA foam filled fender can be used for tugs , workboats, pilot boats and is suitable for open sea terminals, gravity ports , especially for large tidal wave docks . Foam fender is also a viable option for Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations .

• Reinforced elastomer skin

EVA foam filled fenders have a nylon filament reinforced polyurethane skin which has excellent resistance to water , Oil , ice , strong sunlight and abrasive surfaces . It remains flexible even at -40°C (-40°F) making it suitable for Tropical or Arctic operations.

• Energy absorbing

The EVA foam filled fender absorbs impact energy so colliding vessels will not damage the buoy or themselves .

• Unsinkable foam

Only closed-cell foams are used in EVA foam filled fenders . The micro-bubble matrix of the foam means it does not absorb water even if cut or damaged. This makes EVA foam filled fenders impossible to sink.

• Permanent colors

The poly urea skin is pigmented through its entire Thickness , so colors will not wear off and will never need repainting . A wide choice of bright colors can help improve safety and identification.
