Solid polyurethane floating fenders, often referred to as foam - filled fenders (dolphin fenders), are a kind of floating fender system. They utilize lightweight and highly elastic foam as a buffering medium. Compared to inflatable fenders, they offer greater reliability and find extensive application in ports, offshore regions, and ship - to - ship operations.

Qingdao Luhang's foam fenders, with a diameter of 1 m and a length of 2 m, are crafted from environmentally friendly materials and new polymeric materials. These materials have an adjustable high elastic modulus. The outer surface of these fenders makes use of a newly developed sprayed polyurethane (polyurea) elastomer technology in recent years. This technology can effectively enhance the elasticity of the products, as well as their resistance to corrosion from seawater and other substances.

These products can be employed independently or in combination with other protective items. They are characterized by high strength, high elasticity, high adhesion, and possess better anti - permeability and anti - aging characteristics.
