What are Foam Filled Fenders?
Foam filled fenders are essentially energy - absorbing devices. They consist of a durable outer shell, which is usually made of materials like high - density polyethylene (HDPE), rubber, or a combination of both. Inside this shell, a special type of foam is inserted. The foam used is often a closed - cell foam, which has excellent buoyancy, shock - absorbing properties, and resistance to water, chemicals, and UV radiation.

Working Principle
When a vessel or object comes into contact with a foam filled fender, the fender compresses. The closed - cell foam inside the fender absorbs the kinetic energy of the impact. As the foam is compressed, it deforms, spreading the force of the impact over a larger area. This reduces the peak force exerted on the vessel or structure, minimizing the risk of damage. Once the impact is over, the foam returns to its original shape, ready to absorb the next impact.

02-Cord reinforced Layer

LUHANG is constructed Continuous Tough and Thick Nylon Filament Reinforcement in Polyurethane skin which provides superior strength.
03-Outer SPUA Layer

High performance Polyurethane skin: Anti-acid, Alkali and salt corrosion, Anti-UV resistant, Non-marking which makes the LUHANG skin extremely durable to all types of weather, forces and marine conditions.
04-Central pipe

Heavy Duty Chain Connecting Swivel End Fitting Type (The internal chain guarantees maximum pull-through strength, even distribution of energy and stresses.) and Heavy Duty Internal Pipe Fixed End Fitting Type optional. All fittings are constructed of top-quality steel.

Application Scenarios
